Advertising?? Empty Advertising??

Hey guys, I have a question. I read the rules, but I didn't find what I was looking for. Here it is. For example, if in one of my topics,threads, posts or whatever, I post a link to somewhere, but NOT MY WEBSITE and for example that link helps other people (e.g. a cp swf file, a link to a cp archive, or anything other that helps) Am I allowed to post it? L0l in most forums, I think, advertising is not against the rules.
